It's all about the seeing

Good 'seeing' is a quality much sought after by astronomers. The air currents in the atmosphere last evening when I shot the Moon were very steady, enabling a sharp and detailed image through the scope. This evening's seeing couldn't have been worse. Very turbulent air meant the image of the Moon was shivering and quivering like a demented blancmange. Swipe between yesterday and today to see the difference. Same camera, same scope, same processing!
