Winter Lighting

With the winter solstice only two days away, the lighting this afternoon was soft and special.  I caught sight of a hawk,  multiple juncos and wrens, and a long sought kingfisher.  I have heard kingfisher calls several times at this location, which in itself was a surprise, because the water source is a small creek that can get close to dry when we have drought conditions in the summer.  Today I spotted him, as he swooped between trees, and I was able to get a shot, although the quality isn't great.  I've added it as an extra  to document the sighting.
Thanks for stopping by!
