Dartmoor

Today we took a trip to Dartmoor to check out our letterbox. for those that dont know, Dartmoor letterboxing is a bit of fun over the moors where you hide a little box on a tor filled with a pen, note pad, stamp and ink pad and basically you look for letter boxes and collect their stamps and write in their visitor book and people find yours and do the same. its exersice and great fun for the kids and fab to go back and read all the little notes people from all over the world have left you.
So anyway we braved the cold wind to go and check ours out as we hadn't been to see it over the winter but someone hadn't put the lid back on it properly and now our 2 years worth of visitors is a soggy mess and been brought home to try and rescue. someone has taken our ink pad too grrr :( Annoying but never mind we'll sort it out and start a new one, just a shame some people dont have more respect especially when its clearly marked as a childs box.
Dartmoor is one of my favourite places to visit, its just stunning, you can see for miles on a clear day. it was such a cold strong wind up there today but sheltered behind a large rock it was lovely sat in the sun enjoying the peace and views.
The tor we visted today is saddle tor and it is one of the tors i can see from my garden in a previous blip i posted.
Hope you all had a fab day x
