Chilling

When we arrived there were red squirrels ransacking the trees. We never saw them again.

That apart, no birds of any sort save for one red kite flying over, a few crows and one distant pigeon. Surprising and disappointing in such a beautiful birch wood.

Actually it’s an end to chilling as we return to a house with new drains (and no stinkies). That’ll be good.
