Surf''s Up!

OMG - not a cloud in the sky, wall to wall sunshine and amazing colours. We headed in search of an elusive rock arch. Owenahincha was the first port of call. We got out of the car and were hit with the most ferocious wind but the waves were mighty. Surfers were taking full advantage of the conditions and they were excellent , doing all kind sof impressive things. I liked the way they almost look like little Anthony Gormley figures. Onwards to Red Strand - miles and miles of beach and only a mother and child with a kite on it. At one end of the strand were some amazing rock formations - different layers and colours have been squashed, folded, striped, bent, thrashed by the sea. No sign of the arch though. Son #1 had me rock climbing up the face of the cliff onto a grassy plateau which was miraculously out of the wind. We sat and stared for a bit then returned, weather beaten and exhilarated.

Himself has just made a pretty historic pizza and onwards with Game of Thrones.
