bimble

two early morning ferries later the next island was reached, a morning walk down to the southern point and then off to find our room... there's a chill in the wind, blowing stronger from the north, the run of early mornings and jumps whispering that a slowing down may well be in order... anyway this island, beigan, is hillier, much hillier, switchbacks and steep slopes, small sandy bays, darkening turquoise waves flecked white, cold water, rough seas beyond where in a sudden clarity the long line of the chinese coastline appears, dotted with wind turbines... the photo taken in the village, fish noodles being dried in the sun and wind (made with fish, i suppose a variation upon salt fish, a way to dry and preserve, make what's available go further) the rabbit hole back in edinburgh, wall art sadly lost ...
