Great tit

This bird is quite hungry, I'll wager;
On the peanuts he's quite an old stager.
Every day with his mate
He feeds well off this 'plate':
He's the great tit, that is, Parus major.

This is not the first limerick I've written about the great tit. Quite often there is a pair of them on the nuts, but I never manage to catch them both feeding at once - or, if I do, you can guarantee one of them will be blurred. I shall keep trying.

Sunny again, but still with that bitter east wind. Did manage to repot my African Violets outdoors, with my coat on, and in a sheltered spot!
