Between fen and mountains

The Hare family

As I walk through the churchyard, I have often thought of the tragedy of this 19th century family losing so many family members so young. I was surprised to see today that a row of plastic flowers has been planted in front of the gravestones. I don't know if this has been done by someone affected by the story or by a descendent discovering their family history.
The auctioneer came round today and gave me some good news. He considers that much of what I thought would have to go to the tip or to the charity shops is eminently saleable. It seems that some of my old things have become 'vintage'!  Anyway, that should save me quite a bit of work s they can clear the house.
