Happy Birthday Laura

I was exhausted by the end of today. It was full on which I actually enjoy anyway.

It was the annual ‘husband dresses up as Santa and visits the school nursery’ where Laura is a teacher. Another year where he could not go inside the gym hall just at the big door at the back (unfortunately) but the kids loved it and they gave a wonky jingle bells rendidtion which was lovely and funny.

Then back up round the building to give the P1s and P2s some Santa fun at their break time. This was good too as they had a sing song then questions for Santa. Santa was stumped at the ‘what are the names of your reindeers’ lol!

Back home to construct a photo montage of Laura’s 40 years which took a wee while. Made veg soup after that then we went into town to get a helium balloon, decor for the cake and to pick it up. We then picked up mum and brought her here for tea before then heading down to see the birthday girl! We all chubbed in to get her the fabulous KMix as they are into baking in that household. I bought her other bits and pieces too.

The cake was delicious from the new bakery that has opened.

We had a lovely celebration , ok a low key one, but still special we can all be together. We are out for a meal tomorrow (Tuesday) .
