Moth

This is falsor medidor, a species of owlet moth. It was restless so hard to photograph and at one point it spread its wings and looked like a more regular moth. In this closed position it is well camouflaged and some of its markings look like lichen.

The extra is a resident daddy long legs spider making a meal of something we probably don't like, such as a mosquito. It too has eight eyes although only two are showing. It's abdomen is about 5mm long and it's legs are mere filaments and very long. It needs this magnification to get an idea of its hairiness.

After a morning of seeking out tiny things I went for my covid booster. Got a headache already!

Thanks for hosting Carol. Stay well all.
