Bridesmaid's Posey

Bridesmaid Posey

Lounardo's posey of flowers from the wedding yesterday. The colours are hopefully now correct because I am using a 'grown up Nikon' today. The moral of the story is to test your equipment before use! (Rob help me out here - why do my purples show up as light blue?).

Posey Rant

After yesterday's celebrations it is back to work tomorrow. Many new challenges lie ahead. This could be an interesting year for management who have had a long spell of being unchallenged; also for government and politicians who make up a new dynasty of the 'social elite ( top 6%). It is rather coincidental that a new survey of class was released today in the media from Manchester academics where there are now 7 distinct social groupings. Whoooa, and there was me thinking that we were moving away from the British preoccupation with class. The BBC could not wait to play the new game and released its own internet class classification tool. They should be called the BPS (British Propaganda Service) perhaps. Lets get everyone to self-classify their own social status. This saves government doing the Hatchet work and reinforces their campaign against the Welfare state and the Social Scroungers. So, Manchester university (elite) social scientists have perhaps unwittingly becoming pawns of government and a political hatchet tool for future social reengineering by government 'Think Tanks' and a new generation of Oxbridge social elite parliamentary researchers (future leaders of the country they hope in the image of a Cameron or a Miliband).

And as one Ronnie C says to another Ronnie B, and also to a very elite looking John Cleese;

"I know my place"
