MY NEW BOSS

Tony Hall, aka Lord Hall of Birkenhead started his new job as Director General of the BBC.
As he addressed staff in upbeat mood, I was also in my element, taking my place between the video cameraman and the stills photographer, snapping away to my heart's content. Made me realise just how tricky it is to get the desired shot, even when well positioned.
I also got a great shot of his shoes.

But if I'd used that, I could have been accused of
snapping at the DG's heels.
