Game of Thrones

Feeling at a loose end after finishing my Christmas present of the box set of the Games of Thrones books. Although I've enjoyed them, I was hoping for some sort of conclusion to some of the multitude of threads that weave through the books. Now I have to wait for the next book!

On a sadder note is the news that Iain Banks has terminal cancer. It seems somewhat selfish of me to be sad that his next book will be his last. Buying his fiction books every two years (I've never tried his sci-fi books), I always get excited when his latest book is published. Terrible news for him and his friends and family. One of my favourite authors.
