Solstice walk along Thumbs Drove with Shan & Theo, Phil and Kate. Lots of laughing and catch up, then out to the Sommerst Levels to watch the murmuration , which was small and fast in comparison to other years , and freezing . Our usual stop at The Railway for an early pint while the place was quiet was disrupted by the no show of barmaid. Never shy to get on in and with a secret desire to pull a few pints , Shannon was running the place before anyone realised . Mike got the fire going and we were all warm and enjoying a pint of very good ‘Holy Well’ in no time at all .
