Magpie’s nest

In March 2021 a pair of Magpies started building their nest high up in a tree over the fence at the bottom of the garden. They raised a couple of chicks, and last week I saw them noisily defend their tree against a prolonged show of interest from a visiting mob of Magpies. During Spring and Summer the nest disappeared behind a shield of leaves, it’s good to see it has survived the storms. I hope the pair return in the Spring to nest again.
