Panic stations!

I have also backblipped yesterday's Which month are we in? ...... hope you will have a look ..... thanks to those who already have :-)

A sudden flurry of flight this morning ...... the Sparrows scattered & something larger whizzed by!

We wondered what had caused the mad panic ..... the answer was soon revealed!

Imagine our surprise when this handsome male Sparrowhawk landed on the fence! Just look at that intense eye!

He sat watching & hoping ...... just long enough for me to get the camera & take this ..... hope you like it :-)

A moment later he shot off in pursuit of a couple of Sparrows that had ventured from their hiding place .... wrong move when this fellow was still about!

No Sparrows were harmed during this ...... though that did mean the Sparrowhawk flew away still hungry!

I'm afraid Abstract Thursday must take a back seat this week!

Today started out grey but dry ....... followed with just a bit of mizzle ..... turned foggy ..... then drizzled ...... then turned into rain .... yuk!
