Do you have to lay in the dirt?

Little signs of Spring keep popping up. A few crazy bulb flowers emerging where some snow has receded, new birds, chipmunks and dirt... Spring is so dirty until the rain comes to wash things clean. Around here, they spread sand on the icy streets for traction. Don't know what we'd do without it... but man is it messy once the snow starts to melt. Notice the dirty tire tracks in the driveway... it's kind of everywhere and gets tracked everywhere. It becomes impossible to keep these two clean. We go for a walk, they come home covered in dust. They play in the yard, and get covered in dust and dirt. They lay in the driveway... well, you get the idea... Extra baths, damp cloth rub downs and brushing is the best we can do. But it is still kind of gross.

We still have a ways to go with the snow melt (as you can see behind Piper). But, it's sunny and warmer and despite the grungy dirt, it's feeling great to see the weather change towards spring.

I've been feeling pretty ill, last night and today. I am so far behind on comments and thank yous. I hope to catch up soon, maybe I'll be able to get to it tonight. In the mean time, thank you for your comments, stars and hearts over the last couple of days.
