A daily habit

White christmas (after all)

Well that’s a nice surprise for Christmas Eve: a nice, fresh cover of snow! Not a lot - just 2 cm or so - but at a frisky -9°C it has that squeaky texture of cold snow that I remember from my own childhood.

And, since swedes celebrate on Christmas Eve, that means we officially got a rather decent white christmas this year.

Random fact: Apparently, the vikings’ calendar counted sunset as the end of one day and the beginning of the next. And that is why we swedes celebrate on the eve of most holidays. (Additional advantage: we have the next day off for the apparently-inevitable hangover…)
