Between fen and mountains

The fog and murk have once again not lifted all day. I thought, therefore, that I might blip one or two of my personal clocks in the coming days especially as I cannot take them all to France. At least then I will have a record of them. This one dates from the late 19th or early 20th century and is sometimes referred to as a vineyard clock. It is a common clock of that period and runs for eight days and strikes on the hour with a repeat at two minutes past the hour. This is a really good system as, if you miss counting the strike on the hour, you can always listen again at two minutes past.
