The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Wednesday 22nd December 2021)

A lovely morning of mince pies and brews with Refna. I hope you can see the Christmas hat.

Had to use flash for this due to low kitchen light levels (see camera-shake ridden Extra, taken before I realised the shutter speed would be 1/25th, which would have been better otherwise), so forgive the harshness. The drawing of the face on the left is by Refna too.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Magnet - Corn Rigs (1973)
Mark Radcliffe's Folk Show on this day featured music from TV and film soundtracks, and this piece featured in the classic film The Wicker Man. The score was composed by Paul Giovanni, who is the singer, while Magnet were Gary Carpenter, Peter Brewis, Andrew Tompkins, Ian Cutler, Michael Cole, and Bernard Murray. I'm sure this lyric came from the pen of Robert Burns though.
