The best laid schemes…

I had a phone call early this morning to say that the relative who was to host family Christmas dinner had succumbed to Covid so we all had to make other hurried arrangements.
Four of us went to another relative and we had an enjoyable meal. However since I was to supply the desserts for the family dinner for 10 we were inundated with puddings. Fortunately I was able to give some away and there were a lot of pudding doggy bags!
Despite the change of plans, we all, including the self isolating Covid afflicted, had a pleasant day.
