Merry Christmas

We woke to a glorious sunrise. Both the outdoor carols last night and church were cancelled (thank you covid) so we played Christmas music and sang along while preparing lunch. The tide was out so we dared to have a walk on the beach but there was an icy easterly blast which took our breath away. Sherry to fix on our return. We had a late lunch (by design) which was delicious and thanks to father Christmas I had a meat thermometer which made getting cooking times spot on.
Pressies and the queen followed our homemade crackers. We have made our own for the past three years. So much more fun. I buy snaps , use tissues and loo rolls to shape the cracker. Make fun paper hats and this year we had a corny joke and a task. We each had to use the loo roll to fashion a mew tree topper using anything we could find. My suggestion was a festive creature. I made a bird I will add an extra of the 4 new tree toppers feel free to vote for your favourite!!
