Gone For a Walk

In order to escape the hype and noise around Christmas Day we headed off to Winterton for a long walk along the Norfolk Coast Path.  We walked along the cliff path for a couple of miles before dropping on to the Dunes.  It is Seal season on the Norfolk Coast and adult and baby seals are everywhere, on the beach, in the dunes, and we saw one fat youngster which had crossed under a gate into a field about 300m from the shore! The Wardens from the Norfolk Wildlife Trust ensure that none come to harm and that the public do not get too close.

It was a lovely walk on a glorious day and we managed to escape Christmas for a few hours. Surprisingly we met very few people whilst we were out.   It is not our favourite time of year as we don't have a family to share it with, so it was good to be able to get out and walk.
