Cold Cumbria

We went for a short walk with the family this morning. The intention was to go to Coniston but the children saw the snow on the fells and wanted to go and have a snowball fight! We stopped at Burney ( fell)and walked to the Trig point. There was just enough snow to make a few snowballs, for which I seemed to be mainly the target. 
It was very muddy and slippery and Tom fell over and got a very wet cold foot as his welly got stuck in the mud. 
We sat in the car and had a turkey sandwich then came back to the house to warm up!
We’re going out again soon to see more in laws and have another feast!
