Around the House

This is the theme for today's Mono Monday hosted by Laurie54. Well around this house are beer barrels!

It's been another damp, dark day though it did brighten up slightly later this afternoon so we went for a short drive to Wilmcote and had a little walk along the canal, it was very muddy, and then around the village, passing the nativity scene where Mary looks like she's just come from a hair salon and certainly doesn't look like she's just given birth.

The house in the picture isn't actually a house, though I'm sure it will make someone a very nice one with some TLC and a lot of money.  It is actually the closed public house, the Masons Arms in Wilmcote, which seems to have encountered a bit of damage to the chimney as there is a gaping hole into the roof space at one end.  I see on Google it is up for sale for £410,000.

The extra is a close-up of the front door and one of the windows, intriguingly having very large chess pieces on display.
