Family day

We spent the day with our family, and their house was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
There was plenty of traffic on both journeys, and on the way home it was very wet, so a trying trip with the lights dazzling on the wet roads.
But we had an excellent day. We had a brilliant lunch with a splendid rib of beef cooked by son Jeremy, with interesting vegetables to accompany. Then delicious desserts made by Mik. Wine and conversation flowed, and it was good to have three of the next generation with us. They all got very merry!
We said goodbye to my sister and brother-in-law who are going back home from there to Somerset. I have enjoyed having them to stay.
