Iris foetidissima

As hoped for back in the summer, the (presumably) bird-sown Iris foetidissima in our back garden has produced a fine crop of berries.

The fruit stalk has bent over to deposit the berries on the soil at some distance from the existing plant to encourage young plants to grow at a suitable distance from the parent.
