Bark in the dark.......

A dreich morning,wet ,dull and misty.
Fed cattle, 4 loads of silage into the slatted shed ones then had to bring in a cow that had calved a dead calf.
She wouldn't follow when the calf was on the back of the quad so ended up dragging it on a rope behind us which worked .
Skinned the calf and lifted the calf off another cow that only has one working tit. Fitted it with its new Christmas jumper and put them in a pen together. Fingers crossed it will be a match made in heaven.
An afternoon back mixing slurry ready to shift tomorrow. By mid afternoon the weather had improved and it turned into the best part of the day.
Wee brother had the scan man next door doing some early lambing ewes this morning. Think most of them were in lamb
Took the dogs for a walk tonight just as it was getting dark. Put this flashing arm band on the terrier so I could keep track of where he was. It was like watching a low flying jet !
