The beat goes on

It never got above freezing today. I forgot the woolly hat when I went for a walk, and  thought, well it's bracing but not too cold. Halfway round I thought ... mistake!

Scarcely anyone to be seen, but when I got to Shore Street ships were still moving, Surrogate Boxing Day or not. The pilot cutter had just gone storming by, probably wanting to get back to the warm as soon as possible. This vessel was barely moving at walking pace.

As the peace and pure air were hit by the stench of marine diesel I thought, someday this will be replaced by hydrogen power.
