The lushness of Addo.

These Hartebees antelope were almost hidden by the long grass, making an interesting photo. We visited the Addo Elephant National Park today and it is looking beautiful and green with long green grass, so good for grazing, colourful flowers, and all the dams are full. What a change from the drought stricken place we visited a couple of months ago.
We didn't see many animals - there is so much food and water deeper in the bush, and possibly because there were so many cars in the park. We'll go again when the holidays are over.
But, as always, we had a wonderful morning and enjoyed our usual picnic at Jack's Place. The extras are a close up of an elephant enjoying a snack, and another ellie just thinking about the next meal!
