Lights of Hope

On display at the square where's Chania's court and province house.
Again my WA lens was in use and as it's Wednesday, I'll put this up for WW300 for Cailleagh... thanks Cailleagh!

The angels announcing the birth of Christ and the little boat ~ Karavaki ~ sialing towards the new life that follows Christ's birth. Greece is so connected to the sea, that decorating and lighting a karavaki with Christmas is also a token of gratitude to the marines and sailors, who devote their lives to the sea and their country.

I don't know what day Sweetheart will learn his results from the testlab; do suppose it will be next week.

Had contact with a friend from Saloniki, who's now on Crete for holidays. She's a Dutchie too of origin, but lives and works already 40 years in Greece; she started off in Ierapetra, where she's now too... we'll go and see her on the first days of January this weekend! Really looking forward to that!
