Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea)

I went through to the hide at Kinghorn loch again today. Spent a very interesting hour and a half.

The highlight was a grey heron that came right up to the hide wall under the window where I couldn't photograph it. This is one of the many I took before two (white farm) geese chased it off. While this was going on, I almost missed a pair of great-crested grebes that came in close. Sadly, the camera exposure was set for the heron and the grebes game out over-exposed. :(

Another observation was that there is a brown rat that puts in an appearance every day around 5pm do if you ever see a blip of that, it means the rest of the day has produced very little.
