High

This is a view of Cockermouth Castle and the Jennings brewery next door.  The Derwent is running fast and is smooth, even before I added a long exposure.  A few yards to the right is the confluence of the Derwent and River Cocker. At this point the Cocker has 'white water' and looks faster because of this.  Where I'm standing taking the photo  was about nine feet under water after Storm Desmond.  Indeed the bank supporting the castle eroded -emergency repairs were necessary.  This is the last blip of 2021 and I hope you have enjoyed viewing all my blips.  I have enjoyed photographing them too.  A Happy new year to you all.
