Nasturtium in a Mary Rose Glass

It's difficult now to find very much colour in the garden, and I was surprised to find this yellow naturtium flower this morning. It was good to find a bit of colour though at the end of the year, and I thought the ship was symbolic of sailing away to new adventures. Unfortunately, the Mary Rose sank in the Solent in July 1545 and sadly most of the crew were lost. Strange now to think that after nearly 500 years the remains of the Mary Rose are on show in Portsmouth after being raised from the seabed and restored. HAPPY NEW YEAR !
