On the boat

A pretty grim day but tried to get few hours work in. Hard to get motivated but needs must. I'm my own worst enemy ! Any way, home now, emergency trip to rescue friend and neighbour with car trouble, dinner cooked, duck breast (half price, we are Scottish) with a very nice red wine and cranberry jus. Jammies on soon, a blockbuster movie, then I think bbc alba for the hogmanay ceilidh. I hardly ever know any of the bands on Jools Holland these days. Changed days from staggering round the Tron in Edinburgh every ne'er day, including a memorable night in the high street jail once. Valuable lesson, never try to play the bagpipes with a skiniful. Especially if you've never played them before. Have a great, successful, but importantly, a happy New Year
