At the edge of the Moss.

We walked along the route at the edge of the Moss and through the forest this afternoon. It’s a lowland raised bog, an ancient peat habitat, formed over thousands of years. It’s said the bog is 6.4m deep in this area.

We had “free” carry out coffee and cake courtesy of my wife’s garden centre club card because she’d a birthday this month. We decided to go at the spur of the moment rather than go home. It turned out to be advantageous as I was able to see something I’d been researching and make a decision.
