What a kid

One of the few things that Canada Post does well is its Santa Service. It helps that Canada's primary letter carrier seems to divert all letters to the North Pole as a matter of routine, but, come December, it gets its act together and delivers mail to and from Santa will astonishing efficiency.

At an age when believing in Santa is beginning to be doubted, we mentioned the option of writing to him in passing... and it got picked up on. I am pretty sure Ottawacker Jr. doesn't believe in him, like he doesn't believe in the tooth fairy. I know he doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny. But as long as Santa is there and responds, and the tooth fairy leaves a couple of dollars under his pillow... well, why not go with the flow.

Which, of course, brings me to religion. OK, I won't go there.
