There are amazingly robust & tall Marlborough daisies at the foot this tower. I’ve never seen such massive specimens before.

Friend M. and went into the Queenstown Earnslaw Park market this morning, mainly because it was M’s birthday and to buy her some special pottery at one of the stalls. That achieved with very little trouble we then had coffee & cake at a dog-friendly café before heading back home. Queenstown is usually chocker with people over New Year but it was surprisingly quiet. It seems that far fewer people have come down from Auckland than usual, most probably because of pandemic issues.
So hot today - stifling! It’s summer …
