Green shoots of recovery?

Well, perhaps not. These tomato seedling were sown in the propagator on 7th March and today, almost 4 weeks later are struggling to make anf sort of progress. Apparently once germinated you are supposed to take them out of the propagator so that they grow strong rather than leggy and spindly.

Its been so cold that I've had to put the lid back on the propagator at night and put the heat back on and still they struggle to grow.

Not able to do anything down at the allotment and with a 2 week trip coming up it will be the end of April by the time we get potatoes, more broad beans and peas in. And we'll miss the purple sprouting broccoli which should be at its best now.

Its been a month since I posted the last photo of the allotment and you'd see very little difference if you went there today, except I've shifted some manure around and the rhubarb has grown. Cut the grass today, in the sleet. Never been so late.
