We saw Leopold…the black swan

To day we took some friends who had stayed overnight to Claremont NT gardens. We have never seen it so busy, the car park was nearly full at 10..30 and when we left at about 12.30 there were many cars parked ( illegally?) on the verges of the Portsmouth Road outside. However it wasn’t too busy on the paths as I think many of the families with small children just went to one of the two playgrounds!
It was also the muddiest I have ever seen it.

The blip is a notice I’ve not seen before and they were actually photographs not magazine pictures. I did not know the resident black swan is called Leopold….however that make sense as two of the owners of Claremont were called Leopold.

We did see all the other birds on the lake too, as usual.
