The first cut is the deepest

This is a tungsten carbide knife, whose tip snapped off. Apparently, tungsten carbide is approximately three times stiffer than steel. It's super strong but brittle.

Anyway, this belongs to Ed, one of Si's oldest buddies. We visited Ed and his wife Caroline today for some dinner, and it was very tasty too.
