A walk around Kirkby Lonsdale

A slow start to the day then just before lunch I headed off to Kirkby Lonsdale with our overnight guests. We were going to do a walk from Devils Bridge - see photo. Apparently it was built by the Devil to steal a lady’s soul when she was trying to save one of her sheep, but she outwitted him. He was quite upset at being thwarted!
After a dull and overcast morning, the sun decided to show its face to brighten things up. We had an enjoyable walk the R an Mr P went home. Brother J returned to Sedbergh with me. Having managed to buy an extra Christmas puddings unintentionally it seemed a good time to cook it so after a very tasty turkey and ham pie with Christmas leftovers, that was our dessert. The diet starts soon!
