Shenzhen: Looking Back to Wudangshan

Home! After a 5-day mission to Wudangshan in Hubei, where Daoist priests live very high up on the sacred mountains, we have returned to Shenzhen (arriving at 1am this morning) with aching calves. Absolutely thrilled though to have made it to (and from) an out-of-the-way gem in central China. Hence the hiatus from blipfoto.

My brother is visiting from New Zealand and initiated this adventure, having seen Wudangshan on the new 'Karate Kid' (many steps and the lady with the snake) and finding out that 'Kungfu Panda' was based on the Wudangshan temples - he has quite a sense of humour.

We now get to review the images captured, and it's taken me back to the 'old days'. My mighty little Canon Ixus 970 IS had a moment as we arrived at Wudangshan, the digital display dying. It now only provides digital 'auras' of pictures taken. So this morning was just like getting the film back and seeing what worked!
