After our walk

Oscar can’t walk much anymore and being largely confined to the small stairwell of a house with so many stairs was depressing him. He was not eating for a while and too weak to stand up and we really thought that the end was near.

Last year’s purchase of a dog buggy has turned out to be money well spent. I’m making a special effort to take him out in it most days and he gets lots of admiring comments from passers-by, as well as some staring and laughing, it has to be said. In the last week Oscar’s spirits seem to have rallied and he seems to be regaining his appetite, which in turn makes him stronger and able to walk more and be more alert
. 
I took this picture just after we came in from a quick whizz down to the shop, where he blessed his lovely new friends in the posh new pet shop with lots of smiles.

Time spent out in the fresh air is obviously a tonic.
