Camera Shy Missus?

Well, Spring is officially here ... I believe!

Every year, at the beginning of Spring, we are graced with the presence, in the garden, of Mr Pleasant Pheasant and his wife (or wives). So ... if he's here ... then so is Spring!?

He gives us his unmistakable call to let us know we should be starting to put out the appropriate seeds for him and the missus(es)!

This morning ... there he was but, unfortunately, I wasn't expecting him yet so I grabbed the Ixus and blipped what I could before he (and they) - yes, there seem to be two wives this year - disappeared quickly into the adjacent woodland ... hopefully, to re-appear again soon.

This is not the best of captures but it is what it is in the few moments available at 6.30 a.m. and with struggling eyelids to contend with!!

As you can see ... wife no. 1 is a little camera shy! (No. 2 ran off into the wood almost immediately so ... also camera shy?!)
