J, J & A

Mr HB sent J1 solo in a glider when he was just a young lad and have been firm friends ever since.  It was soon apparent that J wanted to become a commercial airline pilot and went to Canada to do his training.  He ended up living his dream by becoming a pilot and now a training captain with a Canadian Airline and found the love of his life there too, the second J – they married a few years ago and now the family is complete with Amelia's arrival 5 months ago.
 
The trio have come to the UK to spend Christmas and New Year with J1's parents and to show off A to the English family and friends and we were lucky enough to catch up with them at a local hostelry for dinner this evening.  Such a treat to see them again and to meet Amelia.  It has been two and a half years since we saw J&J when J1 was deployed to Dublin for 6 months to fly for Tui and where we spent a wonderful week with them both.  


They had to go to Stoke on Trent this afternoon to have their Covid ‘fit to fly’ tests to enable them to return to Canada on Thursday – fingers crossed.
