The Ploughman lad

There are many songs in praise of the ploughman. Not about his part in growing the food we consume on a daily basis, but more usually wistful songs of erotic yearning for the strapping fellow behind the horse.

"Oh see him coming down from the town
With all of his ribbons hanging down
Singing laddie-I, and sing laddie-O
Ploughman lads are all the go"
