Three goats guarding a henge

An opportunity arose to visit the other one of our twin towns and I took the  path from Stop&Call to Harbour Village (the first named after a long-gone roadside tavern, the second a clifftop settlement designed and built for the workers below.)

The windswept edge-lands up here are home to all manner of private projects and  unregulated free enterprise: pony paddocks, allotments, dismantled vehicles,  hens in wire runs, ducks on plastic ponds, greenhouses, pigeon lofts... So  meeting three pigmy goats was no surprise.  The amateur stonehenge beyond was more intriguing but not accessible.
Below it,  and visitable,  three Neolithic burial chambers squat like gnarled old toads just behind the  back garden fences of the street houses: ancient and modern history cheek by jowl.

And, speaking of history, the low tide provided some fine views of the old fish trap on this side of the bay.

What a relief to be able to add extras without having to go back and delete old ones :)
