Glossy

Taking advantage of the weather which was bright and frosty I headed down to Shepherd's Patch where a glossy ibis had been seen. It spent its time unearthing grubs from the mud of which there was a lot.

From the road it just looked like a black distant speck so I ended up walking the tow path for a better view from behind some bushes and a stock fence. It wasn't hanging around so there was always something in the way but I've edited some bits out so to see it better.

By 10:30 I'd dealt with 8 contradictory and some apologetic calls from Yorkshire from various people and the debacle of getting dad out of hospital continues .......
