Cygnus atratus

Hector excelled himself at puppy training this afternoon, with very good heelwork, sit/stays and recalls. He was definitely top of the class (although, to be fair, the only other dog there this week was a newbie Labrador having its first lesson). On the way back we said a quick hello to the black swans at Benbow Pond. I'm pleased to report that there are still four adults and the remaining cygnet is getting pretty big now. They all seemed pretty hungry so I'll have to return with some bird food another day.

By the way, my friend from down the road has just started blipping and you can find her here.
